Following on from the huge success of the 3up fun bike race in October there is another opportunity to have some fun. This time in teams of 2! which should make it even more interesting.
The course will probably be (still being finalised) on the A38 N of Bristol and then through the lanes. I will lead a ride in a few Sat’s time to show you where the course is.
So far we have several teams interested: 1) Chris G and Jer D 2) Rich and Eric 3) Paul S and Dave M 4) Philippa and Andy P 5) Aileen and Mike H
Please get your entries in, along with your cheques for £5.50 payable to Severn RC, to John Milkins or Myself. Entries need to be in by 17th Feb.
John M and myself will put more info when it's available but this is just advanced warning to put the date in your diary

Eeek. That's the same day as the Castle Coombe duathlon www.entrycentral.com/index.php?raceID=100393For those who are in training for the Iron man. You might want to do both. The 2up starts at 9.00 & duathlon 3 1/2 hours later. Alternatively, we could finish the 2up, enjoy the cake then have a sociable ride across to Castle Coombe to support those doing the duathlon. I reckon it's about 20 miles. If you are interested in the 2up, note the entry fee goes up from £18 to £24 for entries in the week before the event.

I'm up for both Aileen but I'll drive between the 2.
And to clarify the entry fee is £5.50 each and it's 25 miles.
Am planning to go around the route on Sat 24th Jan will post more details nearer the time

Hi, I'm interested but don't have a partner yet. Any slow riders looking for a partner let me know. I've just injured myself so not sure when I will be back cycling. I should be OK by March, just not very fit.

looks like we'll get lots of teams entering so it should be a great social. everyone can enter, none of us are going to win the race so it's only for our enjoyment so why not have a go. Don't worry if you don't have a partner yet if you register your interest here we can try and match up similar paced people. send your entry forms (you can send them individually) www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/forms.asp (one form per rider) to me 5 North St, wickwar, glos, gl12 8nq. along with your cheques for £5.50 each to Severn RC.

Hi Philippa, I think I have found a partner, she is not yet a member of Kingswood but I am working on her. She hasn't done a 2up before but neither have I so we are going to try and fit in a practice beforehand. Did you ride the route on 24 Jan? I will send you our entry forms Maggie

Andy will be at the training weekend so I will give them to him. I haven't seen anything yet with details of the route. Do you know if it has been finalised yet? I would like to ride it before the race.

Phillipa, sure this can be entered as an individual entry as well so those without a partner or prefering to ride alone can still compete, or just get round as in my case

Thanks Phillipa, I've entered as Solo as my intended partner has let me down ( bless.... ), do you know how many KIT entries there are ? Should be a busy day with the duathlon at Castle Coombe, a road race to watch just up the road in Thornbury topped off with the agony of watching Bristol play rugby in the afternoon.
