Looking through the BTF Handbook looks like BAD have scheduled a sprint Tri in July at Henbury Sports Ctr, anyone got any info ? Must admit I'm a member of BAD as well but they seems to be keeping this close to their chest

Yes sure it is, reading a bit deeper the kids tri is at Henbury Leisure Ctr and the adult tri is at Tockington Manor School, this is up the A38 north of Bristol ½ way between Patchway and Thornbury, ( not as far up as the Severn TT course we use on Wednesday nights ) it's a bit hilly around there and is used as a road race route for some big BCF races, roads are very quiet though, should be a good course.

Hello All John, the reason you haven't heard much about the Bristol Triathlon Festival is because we have started to publicise it yet. With it being a new race we want to make sure everything is good, bike and run routes are tested and all plans in place before we start shouting about it. You are right that the Children's race is on the Saturday at Henbury Leisure Centre and the Adult races are on the Sunday at Tockington Manor school. As you suggest the bike and run courses take in a few hills but also have some head down, big gear flat sections too. All will be revealed soon. If you want a look at the website the address is www.bristoltriathlon.org please bear in mind we are working on it as you read! You will get an e-mail when all is ready to go and we would welcome your participation be it as an athlete or marshall. So no need for any frowns just patience, you will know all very soon. Andy

Entered race on Tuesday notice to say 220 places gone out of 300 so anyone else planning to race and not entered yet you will have to do so soon. Did bike course on Monday from cricket ground entrance and back took me 44 Min's with 3 stops to check map. I clocked distance about 14 miles. Good course as you come out transition turn right then climb hill then fast course to follow. Who else has entered as link to see other people that have entered was down on Tuesday not had change to have another look yet?

Hi Everyone
Good to see some of you on the start list. The website entry numbers do not include some paper entries or corporate relay teams so we actually have over 250 entries. If you would like to join in (it would be great to see you!) you will need to enter quickly as we've had 50 entries in the last week!
Don't forget the children's race the day before at Henbury if you know anyone who would like to join in or just have a go at their first triathlon.
Can I also use this post to wish you all a good race in Austria. I'll be cheering you on from in front of my computer screen!
Thanks
Andy
